Hello! Glad to see you here!
On this page, you can find/read/download my theses. They are long-form academic projects digitised through Rice University's Fondren Library and SAIC’s Flaxman Library.
I intend to make those writings accessible to the public.
all things flow (2025)
I have never left the sea. (2023)
My current research explores how knowledge is generated and transmitted. After finishing my recent thesis on correspondence and mail art, I am moving towards broad/general questions:
How could we reimagine what religion is through communal actions?
How do we speak of the sky, the clouds, and the force of nature?
Can art be a religious experience? And how do we write about such feelings?
My methodologies draw from, and move between, anthropology, the history of religions, religious ethics, gender and sexuality studies, disability studies, visual cultures, and archival studies.
As for Fall 2025, I am working/editing/researching for Claire Fanger; she is writing about the visionary practice of the French monk John of Morigny, you can find her writings here.
Please feel free to email me for greeting/discussion/conversation/academic collaboration, ny16@rice.edu.
